5 Apps That Help Me Function as a Soon-to-Be Mom of Two Under Two
Life right now? Pure chaos. Between growing a tiny human, chasing a toddler, and attempting to keep my house from looking like a tornado hit it, I need all the help I can get. Enter: my ride-or-die apps.
These are the five apps that are actually helping me survive (and sometimes even thrive) in the madness that is life with almost two under two. This is just my option btw, no affiliate links or anything like that.
I got your back, don’t worry.
1. Notion – My Brain’s External Hard Drive
Not to be dramatic, but my entire life is in Notion. If this app ever disappeared, I would simply cease to function.
✅ Weekly planning so I don’t completely lose track of what day it is.
✅ Brain dumping all the random thoughts so they don’t vanish into the abyss of mom brain.
✅ A “drop zone” for screenshots, lists, and those middle-of-the-night ideas that feel genius at 2 AM but questionable by morning.
Bonus: It’s free and syncs across all my devices, so I can pull it up anytime—whether I’m at my laptop, on my phone, or hiding in the bathroom for a minute of peace.
2. Libby – Because Audiobooks Keep Me Sane
Libby is how I feed my audiobook addiction without breaking the bank. It hooks up to my library card, and because I’ve moved a bunch, I have multiple library accounts (which = a solid selection).
And get this—if I ever feel like actually reading instead of listening, I can send ebooks to my Kobo. Options!
Side note: Yes, listening to an audiobook counts as reading. Fight me. My boyfriend loves to tease me about this, but I stand by it.
3. Floret – The Prettiest Digital Planner, Habit Tracker & Journal
If an app isn’t aesthetic, do I even want to use it? Floret is GORGEOUS and helps me actually stay on track with my habits, calendar, and journaling.
✅ Habit tracker that doesn’t stress me out.
✅ Digital calendar that keeps me from forgetting appointments.
✅ Widgets on my home screen so I can see everything at a glance.
It’s basically the digital planner of my dreams. 10/10 recommend if you like having your life together-ish in the prettiest way possible.
4. Spotify – For When I Need All the Vibes
Whether I’m trying to make car rides more fun for my toddler or just need a solid solo jam session, Spotify always delivers.
🎶 Kid-friendly playlists so we can belt out The Wheels on the Bus without losing our minds.
🎶 Audiobooks for when I can’t find something on Libby.
🎶 2000s throwbacks (because some days require a full Dancing in a Sweaty High School Cafeteria moment).
Pro tip: If you need playlist inspo, my current faves are Dancing in a Sweaty 2000’s Cafeteria and It’s Not a Phase, Mom. You’re welcome.
5. MadFit – Because Movement Actually Feels Good
I’m not gonna lie—this isn’t an everyday thing, but having MadFit on my phone keeps me motivated to at least attempt some movement.
✨ Pilates, yoga, and stretching workouts that actually feel good.
✨ Options under 10 minutes because some days, that’s all I’ve got.
✨ TV casting so I can do workouts in my living room without squinting at my phone screen.
Honestly, even if all I do is a 5-minute stretch, I feel better. And having this app sitting on my home screen is sometimes just enough to remind me to move my body.
These Apps = My Mom Life Survival Kit
At this point, these apps are less like tools and more like lifelines. They help me stay organized, entertained, and somewhat in control of the daily chaos. And honestly? I’ll take all the help I can get.
Got any must-have apps that make your life easier? Drop them in the comments—I’m always looking for new ways to make life slightly less hectic.
